Dr Shahzad Akhtar
Principal Dentist
Chaz is the principle Dentist and has been at High Peak Dental Care for more than 20 years. He also has another Dental Practice in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. Chaz works across both practices alongside the same dental and reception team.
Chaz qualified from Cardiff University in 1995. Since then he has been the owner of two Dental Practices which he has built up and now has a large patient base at both. His commitment to his patients is second to none and he will always go that extra mile to help his patients in whatever way he can.
Out of work, Chaz spends his time with his 3 lovely daughters, where at weekends they enjoy action packed family activities.
James Hunt
Hygiene Therapist
James qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2017. He joined the team at High Peak Dental Care in 2017. James has been an asset to the practice since joining us. He is a forward thinker and enjoys every aspect of his varied job role.
James is a keen motorcyclist and car enthusiast. He loves nothing more than long drives and visiting new places. He has also recently taken an interest in water sports.
Mercedes Pollitt
Dental Nurse
Saids started her Dental Nurse training with us in 2015, previously she was a full time care assistant at a nursing home. She qualified from the Manchester Dental Hospital University in early 2017 with a national diploma QCF in dental nursing. Mercedes puts 100% in to her Nursing and has a wonderful chairside manner.
Outside of work Saids enjoys spending time with family and friends and will often pop into the care home for a visit to fondly loved residents.
Natasha Mills
Dental Nurse
Tash has been at High Peak Dental Care Since 2015. She began her training with us and qualified from the Manchester Dental Hospital University in 2016 with a national diploma QCF in dental nursing in early 2017. She is fun, enthusiastic and has a very positive energy which is great for team moral.
Tash enjoys spending time with her family and friends outside of work and takes a keen interest in fashion and shopping.
Amanda Pinkney
Dental Nurse
Amanda is a long serving team member and has been with the practice since February 2000. She is a highly qualified Dental Nurse with a wealth of experience. She has always been on hand to help with staff training. She is a key member of the team.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys long walks with her dog and can also be found down at her allotment where she grows her own produce.
Julia Mycock
Reception
Julia is part of the reception team. She is welcoming and helpful and has been at the practice for over 20 years so all the patients know her very well.
Julia is a mum to two grown up boys. She is a fond lover of the outdoors and in her spare time enjoys long walks and travel.
Stephanie Heywood
Practice Manager
Steph is the Practice Manager. She has been at High Peak Dental Care since 2014 and has many years of managerial experience. As the Practice Manager she is here to ensure the smooth running of the practice, from making sure all patients have a lovely experience with us to looking after the staff.
Steph spends her time outside of work with her two boys and husband, enjoying typical family life. She also enjoys travelling within the UK abroad.
